Jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped heavily with ALWAYS INNOCENT. Then shifted outwards and again bumped ALWAYS INNOCENT.
Rider, when questioned regarding the gelding performing below market expectation, could offer no tangible explanation for the poor performance other than the horse was disappointing in the homestraight. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

Prior to the running of Race 2, Trainer S Baertschiger notified the Stewards that the tactics were to endeavour to ride the gelding forward with the addition of Blinkers.
Settled in the lead.

Raced very wide throughout.
Prior to the running of Race 2, Trainer C Brown notified the Stewards that the tactics were to endeavour to ride the gelding more quietly as it failed last start after being ridden too close.
Settled in a midfield position.
Became unbalanced at the start after being bumped by ACROBAT. Shortly thereafter, shifted inwards slightly and again became unbalanced when bumped by ACROBAT.
Was forced wider on the track near the 1100m by ACROBAT, which shifted outwards abruptly due to the slow tempo. Was then obliged to race three wide without cover. Was forced extremely wide rounding the hometurn (400m).
Overraced in the early and middle stages. Hung outwards quite badly in the homestraight ultimately, running out to the outside fence. In view of its racing performance, it will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial from the barrier and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
Rider, when questioned, stated that the gelding hung outwards in the hometurn. He further added that the gelding continued to hang outwards badly in the homestraight. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
Was forced extremely wide rounding the hometurn (400m).
Jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped LEGEND ROCKS.
Hung outwards rounding the hometurn (400m) forcing GIANT KILLING and TIGRESS extremely wide on the track.
Became unbalanced at the start when bumped by METEOR LOUI. Then had to be eased for a number of strides after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of HARDCORE, which shifted inwards.
