Jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped BURGUNDY HEIGHTS in onto BELL AIR. Then lost ground shortly after the start when bumped and carried outwards by BURGUNDY HEIGHTS, which in turn had been bumped outwards by BELL AIR.
Got its head up when being restrained to avoid the heels of QIJI FLYER, which had shifted inwards near the 900m. The rider submitted evidence that his mount was also getting pressure from the runner to his inside, that being JUST LANDED and as the video footage of the incident was inconclusive, the Stewards gave Jockey C Grylls, the rider of QIJI FLYER, the benefit of the doubt, nonetheless, was warned for his role in the incident when permitting his mount to shift ground when not fully clear.
Shortly after the start, shifted outwards and away from SILVER JOY and in so doing, bumped BURGUNDY HEIGHTS.
Checked near the 500m.
Raced greenly in the straight.

Rider, when questioned, stated that his mount raced wide throughout and in the homestraight, the gelding kept changing its stride. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
Shortly after the start, shifted outwards and made contact with MY BOSS. Held up for clear running from the 500m before shifting inwards towards the running rail to gain clear running near the 150m.
Inconvenienced on jumping by FLAUNT, which jumped inwards at the start. Shortly after the start, had to be eased when crowded between RUNMINDERBINDERRUN and FLAUNT, which shifted inwards slightly.
Unable to improve its position from the 500m when held up for clear running and was inconvenienced near the 400m when having to avoid the heels of TOOSBIES before eventually gaining its clear running inside the 300m.
Shortly after the start, was buffeted between LIM'S MYSTERY and GOLDEN WIN, which shifted outwards.
Rider was questioned regarding his tactics particularly in the middle stages. He explained that his instructions were to ride his mount back from the wide barrier on the long course. He added that he endeavoured to try to keep in touch with the bulk of the field midrace, however, his mount was having its first start and could not go with the fast tempo. Then in the straight, his mount raced greenly and he had to check and shift outwards near the 300m to avoid the heels of EXCELLENT MOON and at the same time, endeavoured to find clear running. He also indicated that he was not able to ride his mount out over the concluding stages when placed in restricted room between SILVER JOY and FLAUNT. The Stewards accepted his explanation, however, was advised that he should have displayed more vigour in the middle stages of the race to try and stay in contact with the bulk of the field.
A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
Bumped on jumping and then shortly after the start, made contact with BROADWAY SUCCESS after being bumped outwards by BELL AIR.
Course Scratching - maximum field
App AK Lim, the rider of SILVER JOY, in the presence of his Master, Trainer J O'Hara, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that near the 500m, after restraining his mount, he then shifted outwards, when not clear of EXCELLENT MOON (O Placais), resulting in that horse having to be checked. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea and the degree of interference and carelessness. App Lim was suspended from riding in races with effect from Saturday, 27 October 2018 to Sunday, 04 November 2018 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.
