Acting on veterinary advice that THE MIGHTY THOR (B Vorster) was found to be lame off-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 2149Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.
After arriving at the barrier, DRAGON KINGDOM (App CC Wong) had its saddle readjusted.
STARPERFECT (O Chavez) and SUPER BRILLIANT (I Saifudin) bumped on jumping.
ROC THAT (App CK Ng) and PREMIER FIGHTER (G Boss) bumped on jumping.
Shortly after the start, DRAGON KINGDOM had to be eased off the heels of CASTLE QUEEN (A Munro), which shifted inwards.
BARNATO (N Juglall) laid outwards over the final 100m.
Whilst Stewards were of the opinion that it had not affected the placings, Jockey Saifudin, the rider of SUPER BRILLIANT, was reminded of his obligations to ride his mount out fully to the end of the race.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Tuesday, 18 April 2017, App T See, the rider of GOLDEN KINGDOM, in the presence of his Master, pleaded guilty to a charge of misconduct under MRA Rule of Racing 152(5)(a) in that he changed the heavy girth and surcingle with which he rode GOLDEN KINGDOM in Race 4 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Monday, 30 January 2017 to a lighter girth and surcingle prior to the weighing in following the running of that race. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his guilty plea and the nature of the charge. App T See was suspended from riding in races with effect from Wednesday, 17 May 2017 to Wednesday, 16 August 2017 (a period of three months) both dates inclusive and advised of his Right of Appeal.
This penalty will be served consecutively following the completion of his
suspension from Monday, 17 April 2017 until Tuesday, 16 May 2017 both dates inclusive (a period of one month).
At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Tuesday, 18 April 2017, Trainer J O¿Hara, the Trainer of GOLDEN KINGDOM, pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule of Racing 107(6) in that without the permission of the Stewards, he changed the girth and surcingle while saddling GOLDEN KINGDOM in Race 4 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Monday, 30 January 2017. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his guilty plea and the nature of the charge. Trainer O¿Hara was fined a sum of S$3,000 and advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 21 April 2017, Jockey TH Koh, the rider of TOP NOTE, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding TOP NOTE in Race 8 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 12 March 2017, near the 1100m, he permitted his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear of KAISER BRIGHT (S Sam), resulting in that runner being carried inwards onto GOLDEN ROSEWOOD (I Azhar), which had to be checked, and KAISER BRIGHT also having to be checked. PETITE VICTOIRE (O Placais) was bumped as a result of GOLDEN ROSEWOOD having to be checked, and bumped SILENT CONNECTION (B Vorster) in onto TIME AFTER TIME (R Woodworth), which had to be checked when crowded onto NATURAL WATER (App N Nurshahril). When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Koh that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Sunday, 23 April 2017. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 24 April 2017 until Monday, 01 May 2017 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
