Upon jumping, LIMS RESPOND (D Chong) shifted outwards and WHATS DAT (L
Sofhan) shifted inwards resulting in NO NONSENSE (App A Zaimuddin) being severely
checked by its rider.

Leaving the 1100M, GERMAN SPEED (App KC Tham) had to be eased off the heels of
LIMS RESPOND which rolled out marginally.

AIR STRIKE (J De Souza) had to be eased off runners in front approaching the 1000M.

LIMS RESPOND and RAINBOW EASY (App SU Lim) were both caught racing wide in
the early stages before progressing forward and gaining a leading position respectively at
the 1000M.

GERMAN SPEED (App KC Tham) was caught racing wide throughout the event.

Leaving the 400M, EASY AHEAD (App T Krisna) was held up for a clear run and had to
shift inwards to the inside of LIMS RESPOND closer to the rail in order to gain a clear
run and again was disappointed for a run when LIMS RESPOND rolled in marginally.

Leaving the 200M, AIR STRIKE shifted inwards and inconvenienced WHATS DAT.

EASY AHEAD failed to run on over the concluding stages and finished at the rear of the

The Stewards questioned Trainer Jerome Tan and App KC Tham into the disappointing
performance of GERMAN SPEED. App KC Tham reported that shortly after the start, he
did suffer some interference and as a result, lost his position and found himself towards the
rear of the field and was unable to ride to his instructions to be handy. He further explained
that the gelding raced greenly and placed it under pressure in the home straight and it ran
home well, however, believed that the interference suffered at the start contributed to the
disappointing performance.
Trainer Jerome Tan agreed with the riders explanation and further added that the gelding
was 3 years old and carrying top weight against the older horses and further believed that
this may have contributed to the disappointing performance. The Stewards noted their
comments for future reference. A post-race veterinary examination of GERMAN SPEED
revealed no significant finding.
