Approaching the 500M, TRUE HERITAGE (App AK Lim) had to be momentarily eased off
the heels of BLACK AHEAD.
Over the final 200M, KING OF SEAL shifted inwards when being ridden by its rider and
momentarily inconvenienced SAGARS EXPRESS (App P Haris). App A Zaimuddin, the
rider of KING SEAL, was shown the official patrol film of the incident and reminded of his

or stronger action would be taken against his license. The Stewards took into consideration his
limited riding experience.
Following the running of the event, App P Haris, the rider of SAGARS EXPRESS, reported
that his saddle slipped backwards from the 400M, placing him at a disadvantage.
The Stewards questioned Jockey R Olechea, the rider of FLYING AHEAD, into the tactics
that were adopted on the gelding. He explained that he was riding to instructions to settle the
horse at the rear of the field and stick to the running rail and try to gain an inside run in the

The Stewards questioned Jockey Y Aify and Trainer A Scott into the disappointing
performance of MILITARY STAR in todays event. Jockey Y Aify explained that the gelding
raced well throughout the event, however, he placed him under pressure in the home straight,
and it raced flat, and did not respond to his riding over the final 250M.
Trainer A Scott reported that in MILITARY STARs last start, the gelding became dry-coated
and she believed that todays fast early pace may have contributed to the gelding failing to run
over the concluding stages. The Stewards noted their comments for future reference. A post-
race veterinary examination of MILITARY STAR revealed no significant finding.
