At the request of Jockey Y Aify, the near fore and near hind plates of PROHIBITION were
adjusted behind the barriers. The gelding were subsequently examined by the Club
Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to take its place in the field.
AGELESS (App SU Lim) was inconvenienced at the start as a result of
KEEPITCONFIDENTIAL (SS Vanan) jumping outwards and SHINING GLORY (J De
Souza) jumping inwards.
Upon jumping, JACKSEAN (H Bukhari) shifted outwards and inconvenienced SPEED
POWER (App KC Wong).
Approaching the 1000M, JEAN FRANCOIS (S Ruzaini) had a tendency to over-race and
got its head up.
The Stewards questioned Jockey SS Vanan into the riding tactics that were adopted on
KEEPITCONFIDENTIAL in todays event in particular why he failed to muster early
speed from Barrier 1. Jockey SS Vanan stated that KEEPITCONFIDENTIAL jumped
awkwardly which made him becoming unbalanced and failed to show any early speed
despite his efforts. When questioned into the reasons why he failed to show sufficient
vigour, he stated that that the gelding had a tendency to lay out throughout the event which
placed him at a disadvantage and approaching the 800M, DGREAT ERA (J Low) which
was racing in front of him, lost some ground which resulted in him being slightly
inconvenienced. Jockey SS Vanan said that the gelding ran home well in the home straight.
After viewing the official patrol films of the event, the Stewards were not fully satisfied
with his explanation, however, gave him a benefit of the doubt on this occasion, given
Trainer R Lines stated that he was at a lost to explain regarding the disappointing
performance of KEEPITCONFIDENTIAL in this event and he will be sending the gelding
for a spell. The Stewards noted their comments for future reference. A post-race veterinary
examination of KEEPITCONFIDENTIAL revealed no significant finding. The gelding

DGREAT ERA in todays event in particular approaching the 1000M where he failed to
hold his position. Jockey J Low explained that he was riding to instructions to attempt to
try and settle the filly in midfield position as in its previous race, it had over-raced and
failed to run on over the concluding stages and for this occasion, he failed to hold his
position. After viewing the official patrol film, the Stewards noted his comments for future
reference and took no action.
