BASTION (App K Toh), which had been fractious in the barrier, lost ground
after beginning awkwardly. BASTION will be required to pass one starting
stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).
KAISER BRIGHT (O Placais) was restless in the barrier. Trainer H Takaoka
was advised that a warning has been placed on KAISER BRIGHT regarding its
barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in
future.
KAISER BRIGHT was slow into stride.
Shortly after the start, MAGIC PAINT (I Saifudin) laid inwards and made
contact with SUPER EIGHT (O Chavez) on a number of occasions.
Near the 900m, SUPER EIGHT had to be steadied off the heels of MAGIC
PAINT, which laid inwards.
Approaching the 800m, MAJOR GREEN (A Munro) steadied off the heels of
LUCKY SUGAR (E Aslam), which shifted inwards. Jockey Aslam was
subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater
care when shifting ground in future.
Near the 600m, MAJOR GREEN was bumped when INVINCIBLE MAN (App T
See) laid outwards. Shortly after, I-SCREAM NOW (M Nunes) shifted
outwards bumping INVINCIBLE MAN out onto MAJOR GREEN.
MAGIC PAINT, which was inclined to lay inwards, was held up between the
400 and the 300m.
Approaching the 300m, INVINCIBLE MAN was taken inwards across the heels
of LUCKY SUGAR, in order to obtain clear running.
