Acting on veterinary advice that START ME UP (G Boss) was found to be lame
near-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1948Hrs. In
terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary
Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.
CHANGBAI MOUNTAIN (M Kellady) and KNIGHT HARLOOK (B Vorster) were
crowded on jumping between PURE WHITE (S Sam), which jumped
awkwardly inwards and ASTRO MAN (I Saifudin), which jumped awkwardly
SUN MIRAGE (App CC Wong) jumped away awkwardly.
ACIPENSER (O Placais) was slow into stride.
PRETTY ELUSIVE (D David) and LIMS ADMIRAL (D Beasley) bumped on
Approaching the 1100m, CHANGBAI MOUNTAIN steadied off the heels of
PURE WHITE, which shifted inwards and away from SILVER MAN (App CK
Ng). Shortly after, PURE WHITE checked when racing to the inside of SILVER
MAN. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.
Passing the 1000m, ASTRO MAN brushed the running rail when racing tight
to the inside of KNIGHT HARLOOK.
KEEPIT KARMA (App K Toh) was difficult to settle in the backstraight.
Passing the 1000m, PURE WHITE shifted outwards after racing up onto the
heels of MOMENT OF JUSTICE (A Da Silva).
Making the turn near the 800m, CHANGBAI MOUNTAIN had to be eased after
becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of LIMS ADMIRAL.
PURE WHITE laid outwards when racing keenly passing the 700m.
CHANGBAI MOUNTAIN raced wide from the 600m.
ASTRO MAN laid outwards under pressure over the final 100m.
SILVER MAN, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop
trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LIMS ADMIRAL
which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule
92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks
of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race
for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed
a bleeders test.
Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on both CHANGBAI
MOUNTAIN and KNIGHT HARLOOK which revealed no apparent abnormality.
