ASHQAR (O Chavez), which was fractious in the barrier, will be required to
pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of
MRA Rule 78(2).
NOVA MASTER (M Nunes) and WAR CITI (M Rodd) bumped on jumping.
SCIMITAR (J Powell) began awkwardly.
VINTAGE VERDOT (A Munro) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped PIECE
OF CAKE (K Fujii).
SUN HANCOCK (K AIsisuhairi) jumped inwards at the start making contact
with the hindquarters of PUTHIMONICE (M Kellady).
Approaching the 900m, SUN HANCOCK, which was racing keenly, lost ground
when crowded between ROYAL CHOICE (A Da Silva) and STAR GENIUS (I
Saifudin), which rolled outwards. STAR GENIUS then commenced to race
keenly for a short distance.
WAR CITI laid outwards making the turn near the 600m.
Near the 400m, ASHQAR steadied outwards away from the heels of
PUTHIMONICE, which in turn had to be eased outwards off the heels of STAR
GENIUS when that filly shifted outwards.
Passing the 300m, ROYAL CHOICE shifted inwards abruptly.
Near the 100m, WAR CITI and NOVA MASTER made contact.
The Farrier reported that NOVA MASTER returned having cast its off-fore
plate.
Jockey AIsisuhairi reported that SUN HANCOCK was not striding out
freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent
abnormality.
