PISCES GEM (S Mutaza) was slow to begin.
The saddle on PISCES GEM slipped backwards during the running, resulting in Jockey S
Mutaza having difficulty in assisting his mount.
BOYCE AVENUE (App AK Lim) was hanging out over the concluding stages.
Post-race veterinary examinations of DASHFUL (HS Gill) revealed no obvious
abnormality and Q NINE MARVEL (App R Fakruddin) had returned lame near fore and
as such, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.
1 JULY 2015 TRAINER SHANE EDWARDS
The Malayan Racing Association has been notified by Racing and Wagering Western
Australia (RWWA) that Trainer Shane Edwards appeal to the Racing Penalties Appeal
Tribunal (RPAT) against the determination made by the Stewards of RWWA on the 7th
July 2014 imposing disqualifications of three (3) years for breaching Australian Rule of
Racing (AR) 175A, six (6) months for breaching AR 175(gg), three (3) years for
breaching 175 (g) to be served concurrently and a fine of AUD1,500 for breaching AR
175 (a) has not been successful.
In accordance with MRA Rule of Racing 152A, Trainer Shane Edwards is deemed to be a
disqualified person with immediate effect.
This disqualification expires on 6th July 2017.

INQUIRY INTO A REPORT RELATING TO POST-RACE URINE SAMPLES
CODED 19363 AND 19369 WHICH WERE TAKEN FROM HORSES PASHA
KHAN IN RACE 1 ON 18 APRIL 2015 AT THE SELANGOR TURF CLUB
APRIL MEETING 2015 AND MARIO ATTILA IN RACE 3 ON 18 APRIL 2015
AT THE SELANGOR TURF CLUB APRIL MEETING 2015 RESPECTIVELY,
AND BOTH SAMPLES RETURNED POSITIVE TO 3-HYDROXY-
METHYLMORPHINAN, WHICH IS A PROHIBITED SUBSTANCE IN TERMS
OF MRA RULES
The Stewards concluded an inquiry into the above matter on Friday, 3 July 2015 at the
Selangor Turf Club, and evidence was taken from Trainer L Moy, the Trainer of PASHA
KHAN and MARIO ATTILA, and Dr Shri Kanth, Senior Veterinary Surgeon of the
Selangor Turf Club.
Trainer L Moy pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 134(6)(a) as read with MRA
Rule 134(13) and punishable under MRA Rule 134(7) in that he was the trainer and
person responsible for presenting and racing the horse PASHA KHAN which finished in
second placing in Race 1 on Saturday, 18 April 2015 at the Selangor Turf Club. The post
race urine sample subsequently returned positive to 3-Hydroxy-Methylmorphinan, a
prohibited substance under MRA Rules.
Trainer L Moy also pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 134(6)(a) as read with
MRA Rule 134(13) and punishable under MRA Rule 134(7) in that he was the trainer
and person responsible for presenting and racing the horse MARIO ATTILA which
finished second placing in Race 3 on Saturday, 18 April 2015 at the Selangor Turf Club.
The post race urine sample subsequently returned positive to 3-Hydroxy-
Methylmorphinan, a prohibited substance under MRA Rules.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Trainer L Moys guilty
plea, his mitigating factors and that it was his first offence under this Rule. Trainer L
Moy was fined RM10,000/- for each charge (a total of RM20,000/-) and was advised of
his Right of Appeal (11:35am).
In addition, in terms of MRA Rule 134(11), PASHA KHAN and MARIO ATTILA were
both disqualified from their races and the results will be amended accordingly. In terms
of MRA Rule 134(12), PASHA KHAN and MARIO ATTILA are now cleared for racing
by the Stipendiary Stewards.

App P Haris (MISS THOUSAND) subsequently exercised his Right of Appeal and
applied for a Stay of Sentence, which was granted. The Appeal against the suspension of
3 months and fine of RM10,000/- will be held at a date to be fixed.
RACE 6 (R784) Metro A 1200M (Short Course A), SUNDAY, 21 JUNE 2015,
SELANGOR TURF CLUB JUNE MEETING 2015
The Stewards opened an inquiry into the reasons why CALIFORNIA CAT and HARRYS
PAL were both severely checked at the 200M. After taking evidence from Jockey M
Ganeesh, the rider of PEACEFUL WARRIOR, Jockey S Ruzaini, the rider of
CALIFORNIA CAT, and Jockey J De Souza, the rider of HARRYS PAL, Jockey M
Ganeesh pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that
at approximately the 200M mark, he allowed his horse to shift in resulting in GOOD
BABY (J Keating) being taken in onto CALIFORNIA CAT, and HARRYS PAL which
was on the inside of CALIFORNIA CAT. CALIFORNIA CAT and HARRYS PAL were
both severely inconvenienced as a result of this incident. TERADA (App M Hanif) which
was following and DEVILS CUT were also inconvenienced.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey M Ganeeshs guilty
plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. Acting on
the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), the Stewards deferred the commencement of Jockey
M Ganeeshs suspension. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of five (5)
Malaysian race days with effect from 29 June 2015 and to expire on 25 July 2015, both
dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (4:55pm).
