RACE 11 [TF1402]
CLASS 4 1100M
KENNEDY (App K Toh) was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start, KAZUO (App R Sazali) was bumped by MINGS MAN
(App CS Chin), which was carried outwards by ROSELLI (CW Brown).
Near the 800m, ANGRY CAT (O Chavez) was eased when crowded between
SUPER BONUS (App CC Wong) and MINGS MAN, which shifted inwards and
away from KAZUO. SATELLITE PRINCE (N Juglall), which was following, had
to be eased in consequence.
After passing the 800m, ANGRY CAT commenced to overrace and had to be
eased after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of MINGS MAN.
A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on DEVILS PASS (M
Rodd) which revealed no apparent abnormality.
Trainer HW Tan, when questioned regarding the apparent improved
performance of BLUE DIAMOND (App T See), stated that he believed todays
field was weaker than what the gelding had been racing against recently. He
added that BLUE DIAMOND had been freshened since its previous start
where it had suffered a stone bruise and further had also drawn a better
barrier today. His explanation was noted.
POST RACE URINE/BLOOD: FRIDAY
SINGAPORE 30 OCTOBER MEETING 2015
RACE 2 [TF1280] : SUCCESSION
29 coded urine and 30 coded blood samples from the above-mentioned race
meeting were received for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations.
All samples were analysed and none failed except for Sample Coded No
0053317 which revealed the presence of Mefenamic Acid and which was
reported to have been taken from the horse, SUCCESSION, trained by
Trainer M Freedman, which ran second in Race 2 on the above date.
On Sunday, 22 November 2015, Trainer Freedman was advised of the
Analysts Report and his attention was drawn to the contents of MRA Rule
137 (1) relating to the Referee Samples. In terms of the Rules,
SUCCESSION could not race again until cleared by the Stewards.
An Inquiry into the above will be held at a date to be fixed.
