Acting on veterinary advice that DRAGON BOBO (App T See) was found to be
lame near-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1518Hrs. In
terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary
Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.
SING ROULETTE (A Munro) jumped away awkwardly.
BIG CITY (CW Brown) jumped inwards at the start bumping THANKFULNESS
(M Rodd) inwards crowding PERCIUS (App P Dellorto), which lost ground.
Near the 1100m, CONGO ZANDOR (R Woodworth) steadied off the heels of
THANKFULNESS, which shifted inwards. Shortly after, PROSPERITY STAR
(App MM Firdaus) and HARDCORE ROCK (M Nunes) bumped.
CONGO ZANDOR laid outwards making the turn into the straight.
HARDCORE ROCK was held up from the 500m and near the 400m, had to be
taken outwards across the heels of THANKFULNESS to obtain clear running.

that it was his intention to race in a forward position, however, with the pace
early in the race, he elected to take a sit, however, THANKFULNESS never
travelled well throughout and disappointed when failing to respond after
being placed under pressure and failed to run on in the homestraight. His
explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested
on THANKFULNESS which revealed no apparent abnormality.
