CLASS 4 LC (D) 1200M


FRANCES (I Saifudin) was slow to begin.

Near the 1100m, LIMS PERFECT (App K AIsisuhairi) checked when racing
between ALLEZ (B Vorster) to its inside and CONVICT (App R Rueven) and
POSEIDON (CW Brown) to its outside. An Inquiry into this incident will be
held at a date to be fixed.

TIMO (J Powell), which proved difficult to settle in the early and middle
stages, raced wide throughout.

CAPTAIN MCCAW (App F Tan) raced wide throughout.

App R Shafiq reported that EASY MONEY was making respiratory noises. A
subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned as a
roarer. The Veterinary Surgeon also advised that EASY MONEY had
previously undergone corrective surgery for this condition.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on TIMO which revealed
no apparent abnormality.

SINGAPORE JUNE MEETING 2015
SUNDAY, 21 JUNE 2015:

RACE 6 [TF0793]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Tuesday, 11 August 2015, Jockey M
Kellady, the rider of VON KRUMM, was found guilty to a charge of careless
riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding VON KRUMM in Race 6
at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 21 June 2015, approaching
the 1000m, he made insufficient effort to straighten his mount, resulting in
WIMBLEDON (CW Brown) being carried inwards onto CONVICT (App Y Ruzaili)
and GATO NEGRO (O Chavez), with GATO NEGRO having to check. When
deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, the degree of
interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Kellady that he
has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 14
August 2015 and Sunday, 16 August 2015. The Stewards determined to
suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the
commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 17
August 2015 until Sunday, 23 August 2015 both dates inclusive (two
Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

FRIDAY, 10 JULY 2015:

RACE 9 [TF0855]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Tuesday, 11 August 2015, Jockey M Zaki,
the rider of DOHATSUTEN, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under
MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding DOHATSUTEN in Race 9 at the
Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 10 July 2015, near the 300m, he did
permit his mount to shift outwards, when insufficiently clear of ANGRY CAT
(E Aslam), resulting in that runner having to be checked. When deciding on
penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of
interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Zaki that he has
been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Friday, 14 August
2015 and Sunday, 16 August 2015. The Stewards determined to suspend his
licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement
of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 17 August 2015 until
Sunday, 23 August 2015 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days).
He was advised of his Right of Appeal.


SINGAPORE JULY MEETING 2015
FRIDAY, 17 JULY 2015:

RACE 4 [TF0879]

The Inquiry into the running and riding of ROAN RANGER in Race 4 at the
Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 17 July 2015 was concluded on
Wednesday, 12 August 2015. After taking evidence from App T Rehaizat, his
Master, Trainer D Koh and Trainer S Yeoh, the Trainer of ROAN RANGER, App
Rehaizat was found guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(8) for failing to
take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible
placing. The particulars of the charge are:

.1 he unnecessarily restrained his mount in the early and middle
stages, thereby losing his position;

.2 approaching the turn into the straight, he failed to make
sufficient effort to improve his position when it was reasonable
and permissible to do so;

.3 in the straight, he simulated the use of his whip on a number of
occasions without making contact with his horse; and

.4 over the concluding stages, he sat up and failed to ride his
mount out to the Finish of the race when it was reasonable and
permissible to do so.

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account the nature of the
charge and his record. App Rehaizat was disqualified for a period of one year
with immediate effect from Wednesday, 12 August 2015 to Thursday, 11
August 2016 both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

On Thursday, 13 August 2015, App Rehaizat exercised his Right of Appeal
against the decision of the Panel of Stewards and the penalty imposed on
him. He subsequently applied for a Stay of Sentence.

After hearing and considering submissions from App Rehaizat on Thursday,
13 August 2015, his application for a Stay of Sentence was denied by the
Panel of Stewards.

The Appeal will be heard at a date to be fixed.


RACE 6 [TF0881]

On Wednesday, 12 August 2015, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the
reasons for ANAK PENANG (N Juglall) having to check when racing to the
inside of BILBO BAGGINS (B Parnham), CERTAINLY (CW Brown) and
SATCHMO (A Munro) approaching the turn into the straight. It was
established that approaching the turn into the straight, BILBO BAGGINS
shifted inwards after making contact with CERTAINLY, which was racing
tightly to the inside of SATCHMO. As a result, ANAK PENANG was crowded
for room and lost ground. In the circumstances, no blame could be
attributed to any rider and as such, no further action was taken.

27 coded urine and 27 coded blood post race samples from the above-
mentioned race meeting were received for analysis under the MRA Rules and
Regulations.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Tuesday, 11 August 2015, Jockey J Powell,
the rider of VON KRUMM, was found guilty to a charge of careless riding
under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding VON KRUMM in Race 7 at
the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 24 July 2015, near the 800m, he
allowed his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear, thereby
resulting in SMART PEOPLE (O Chavez) having to check and lose ground.
When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, the
degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Powell
that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Friday,
14 August 2015 and Sunday, 16 August 2015. The Stewards determined to
suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the
commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 17
August 2015 until Sunday, 23 August 2015 both dates inclusive (two
Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 7 [TF0914]

On Tuesday, 11 August 2015, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the
reasons for STIRLING (CW Brown) and SMART PEOPLE (O Chavez) both
having to check when racing to the inside of MEDIA CAPTAIN (App CC Wong)
and PURE TACTICS (E Aslam) passing the 700m. It was established that
passing the 700m, SMART PEOPLE was checked when crowded for racing
room between MEDIA CAPTAIN, which shifted inwards slightly and STIRLING,
which laid outwards and made contact with SMART PEOPLE on a couple of
occasions. In the circumstances, no blame could be attributed to any rider
and as such, no further action was taken. However, App Wong was warned
and advised that he must exercise greater care when shifting ground in
future.


POST RACE URINE/BLOOD: SUNDAY
SINGAPORE 26 JULY MEETING 2015

33 coded urine and 33 coded blood post race samples from the above-
mentioned race meeting were received for analysis under the MRA Rules and
Regulations.

SUNDAY, 26 JULY 2015:

RACE 1 [TF0933]

On Tuesday, 11 August 2015, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the
reasons for BANKERS CALL (App Y Ruzaili) having to check when racing to
the outside of TWODOLLARMUPPET (J Powell) and CALIFORNIAN JET (A
Munro) near the 300m. It was established that near the 300m,
CALIFORNIAN JET, which was being taken outwards to obtain clear running,
shifted outwards abruptly, resulting in TWODOLLARMUPPET, which had
improved quickly to its outside, being carried outwards. BANKERS CALL,
which was racing to the outside of TWODOLLARMUPPET, then had to be
eased in consequence. In the circumstances, no blame could be attributed to
any rider and as such, no further action was taken. However, Jockey Munro
was warned and advised that he must exercise greater care when shifting
ground in future.


SINGAPORE AUGUST MEETING 2015
FRIDAY, 07 AUGUST 2015:

RACE 9 [TF0989]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Tuesday, 11 August 2015, Jockey O
Chavez, the rider of PETRENUI, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding
under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding PETRENUI in Race 9 at the
Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 07 August 2015, after passing the
300m, he permitted his mount to shift inwards, when not sufficiently clear of
KAMS COMET (App R Shafiq), crowding that gelding into the rightful running
of GOT LUCK (App TR Barnabas), resulting in KAMS COMET being hampered
and GOT LUCK having to be checked. When deciding on penalty, the
Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea and the degree of
interference and carelessness. Jockey Chavez was suspended from riding in
races with immediate effect from Tuesday, 11 August 2015 to Sunday, 16
August 2015 both dates inclusive (three Race Days) and was advised of his
Right of Appeal.
