Acting on veterinary advice that ACE RICH was found to be lame off-fore, the
Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1157Hrs. In terms of MRA
Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior
to being declared to race again.
BIG CITY (App H Syafiq) jumped awkwardly inwards severely crowding FUKU
ICHIBAN (S John) onto GODS SPEED (S Sam), which in turn was severely
crowded between FUKU ICHIBAN and LUCKY STRATEGY (E Aslam), which
had been carried outwards by CALLIDE RIVER (App J See). GODS SPEED,
which had been slow to begin, was hampered in consequence.
Near the 1100m, FUKU ICHIBAN, which was racing keenly, was crowded for
room between THIRD PRINCE (M Rodd) and ROSEGOLD (A Munro), which
shifted inwards slightly.
FUKU ICHIBAN raced wide from the 800m.
LUCKY STRATEGY hung outwards from the 600m and approaching the 500m
carried FUKU ICHIBAN wider on the track. LUCKY STRATEGY which continued
to hang outwards badly and finished the race alongside the outside running
rail will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial from the barrier and a
veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
Approaching the 400m, THIRD PRINCE had to be eased when disappointed
for a run between FUKU ICHIBAN and TIP OF BORNEO (App R Rueven),
which rolled outwards slightly.
Passing the 300m, CALLIDE RIVER (App J See) checked when racing to the
inside of INVINCIBLE GOLD (B Vorster). An Inquiry into this incident will be
held at a date to be fixed.
