Prior to the running of Race 4, the going was downgraded to yielding.
Permission was granted for Jockey N Juglall to replace Jockey J Powell on
WELL DONE as the latter was unable to make the weight. Jockey Powell was
subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 107(9).
The start of this race was delayed due to WELL DONE leaving the Parade
Ring late as a result of a riding change.
EN LAUDER (CW Brown) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped BEST LIFE
(M Kellady) onto SMOOTHLY (App T See), which in turn bumped HENRY THE
EIGHTH (C Newitt), which became unbalanced.
HEES EGO (M Nunes) jumped away awkwardly making contact with WELL
BLACK TRISTAR (I Saifudin) showed no early pace despite the urgings of its
Near the 1400m, WELL DONE, which was racing keenly, made contact with
ECLIPSE DANCER (A Munro), resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced
and WELL DONE shifting inwards inconveniencing HEES EGO, which had to
be eased outwards, resulting in FALCON (App R Shafiq), EN LAUDER and
KEEP SPINNING (App K AIsisuhairi) having to be taken wider on the track.

Near the 150m, WELL DONE shifted inwards abruptly making heavy contact
with ORION (App R Rueven), resulting in that gelding becoming unbalanced.
Jockey Juglall was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to
exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.
Jockey Nunes, the rider of HEES EGO, was fined a sum of S$500 under MRA
Rule 152(5)(a) for dropping his whip over the concluding stages.
BLACK TRISTAR, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop
trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
Prior to the All Clear being given, Trainer S Gray, the rider of ORION,
requested to view the race video with a view to considering lodging an
objection. After viewing the video, Trainer Gray believed that there was
insufficient grounds to lodge the objection and the All Clear was declared.
A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on FALCON which
revealed no apparent abnormality.
A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on EN LAUDER which
revealed that the horse exhibited signs of respiratory distress after the race.
EN LAUDER will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary
examination prior to being declared to race again.
A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on
POLITICALLYCORRECT (B Vorster) which revealed that the horse returned
with a cut in its tongue.
