declared to race again.
MOVIE GOER (Y Aify), HANG TUAH (CK Tan) and PADDYS PARK (J Shankar)
were all slow to begin.
Jockeys I Azhar and CK Tan, the riders of UNDOUBTEDLY CLEVER and HANG
TUAH respectively, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. A post-
race veterinary examination of UNDOUBTEDLY CLEVER revealed that the gelding
had returned lame near fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet)
before being declared to race again. A post-race veterinary examination of HANG
TUAH revealed no obvious abnormality. HANG TUAH which raced poorly, will be
required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
When questioned regarding PADDYS PARK being eased down in the home straight,
Jockey J Shankar stated that approaching the first turn, his saddle shifted forward,
thereby resulting in him becoming unbalanced and was unable to ride his mount out in
his normal manner and as such, he elected to ease his mount down in the home
straight. His explanation was noted.
When questioned regarding the performance of ACME, Jockey S Sani stated that he
was instructed to get a good jump, ride a forward race in 2nd/3rd position and do his
best in the straight. He stated that he was able to ride a forward race as instructed and
approaching the home turn, his mount commenced to hang outwards, placing him at a
disadvantage for the remainder of the race. His explanation was noted. A post-race
veterinary examination of ACME revealed no obvious abnormality. ACME which
hung outwards badly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being
declared to race again.
When questioned regarding the performance of ELECTRONIC FORTUNE, Trainer
David Miller stated that ELECTRONIC FORTUNE was unable to keep up with the
fast tempo of the race today and was resuming from a 3-month spell. He believed that
the track was too firm today. His explanation was noted. A post-race veterinary
examination of ELECTRONIC FORTUNE revealed no obvious abnormality.
