RACE 7 (R549) CLASS 4 1400M (sc) COLONEL DALY 1951 HANDICAP
DASHFUL, a non-acceptor which had sustained a bruised sole near fore, will be required
to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of OCTALERT as the Owners licence has not
been renewed.
MR MARVEL, a course scratching which had sustained a bruised near fore sole, will be
required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
HALO INSPIRE (M Wepner) was slowly away.
On jumping, JEAN FRANCOIS (J De Souza) and DELTA WING (WK Yan) bumped.
JEAN FRANCOIS, DELTA WING and HALO INSPIRE all raced keenly and were
difficult to settle in the early and middle stages.
Post-race veterinary examinations of GOOD RECOMMEND, DELTA WING and
ROCKET EXPRESS (App I Amirul) revealed no obvious abnormality.

TUESDAY, 15 APRIL 2014, SELANGOR TURF CLUB TRACKWORK
Trainer F Maynard was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for
working STORM HERO (J743), SERENGETTI STAR (N104) and SPARKLER (N601)
on the training grass track which is contrary to the Track Regulations.
RACE 2 (R526) CLASS 5 1800M (sc) CENTRAL MARKET HANDICAP,
SUNDAY, 13th APRIL 2014, PERAK APRIL MEETING 2014
The Stewards concluded an Inquiry on Friday, 18th April 2014 into the ride of App P
Deneskumar on LITTLE MAN in the above race. Further evidence were taken from App
P Deneskumar, the rider of LITTLE MAN, his previous master, Trainer Tony Yeoh, his
present master, Trainer Moy Lawson and Trainer SB Tan, the Trainer of LITTLE MAN.
After hearing all the evidence and viewing the videos, App P Deneskumar pleaded guilty
to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards,
in that within the first 100M, he failed to improve his position on LITTLE MAN when
there was an opportunity to do so, as per his riding instructions.
When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account App P Deneskumars guilty
plea, riding record and mitigating factors. App P Deneskumar was suspended for a
period of two (2) months. Acting on the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), the Stewards
deferred the commencement of App P Deneskumars suspension to take effect from
Monday, 28th April 2014 and to expire on Friday, 27th June 2014, both dates inclusive.
He was advised of his Right of Appeal (4:55pm).
RACE 3 (R527) CLASS 5 1800M (sc) BUNDLE CHOW KIT HANDICAP,
SUNDAY, 13th APRIL 2014, PERAK APRIL MEETING 2014
The Stewards concluded an Inquiry on Friday, 18th April 2014, into the ride of Jockey
WK Yan on DONTSTOPBELIEVING in the above race. Evidence was taken from
Jockey WK Yan.
Jockey WK Yan pleaded guilty to a charge of improper riding under MRA Rule
44(9)(b)(ii) in that whilst riding DONTSTOPBELIEVING near the 150M, he
misconducted himself by extending his left arm outwards, resulting in making contact
with Jockey M Djulkifli (LOVE ME), which in the opinion of the Stewards is deemed to
be improper riding.
When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey WK Yans guilty plea,
his riding record and mitigating factors. Jockey WK Yan was suspended from riding in
races for a period of one (1) month with effect from Monday, 21st April 2014 and to
expire on Tuesday, 20th May 2014, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of
Appeal (6:23pm).
RACE 6 (R530) CLASS 4 1200M (sc) PETALING STREET HANDICAP,
SUNDAY, 13th APRIL 2014, PERAK APRIL MEETING 2014
At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 18th April 2014, Jockey K Eirwan, the rider of
SPEEDY TIGER who was assisted by Senior High Court Interpreter, Encik Ahmad
Saifuddin, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in
that at approximately the 150M, he made insufficient effort to prevent his mount from
shifting inwards when not clear of ROUGH DAY (CK Tan) causing that horse to clip the
heels of SPEEDY TIGER and to blunder, dislodging Jockey CK Tan from ROUGH DAY
in the above race. Evidence was also taken from Jockey CK Tan.
When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey K Eirwans guilty plea,
his riding record and mitigating factors. Jockey K Eirwan was suspended from riding in
races for a period of four (4) days. Acting on the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), the
Stewards deferred the commencement of Jockey K Eirwans suspension to take effect
from Monday, 28th April 2014 and to expire on Friday, 9th May 2014, both dates
inclusive. In addition, he was fined the sum of RM2,000/-. He was advised of his Right
of Appeal (7:23pm).
