ACME faltered on jumping, causing its rider S Sani to become unbalanced in the saddle.
MOGANS PRIDE (App SU Lim) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped GO BABY GO
(CK Tan) which in turn bumped WINNING LINE (J De Souza).
HALO INSPIRE (M Wepner) jumped awkwardly.
Near the 1300M, IDEALISTIC MOMENT (Y Aify), SYCE CRACKER (K Eirwan) and
FLYING GIFT (App S Shafrizal) were all crowded between GO BABY GO which rolled
outwards and JUST BLESSED (J Shankar) which was racing keenly, difficult to settle with
its head up and shifted inwards. DIVINE POWER (S Salee), SYCE CRACKER and
IDEALISTIC MOMENT all checked and lost ground in this incident. The Stewards deemed
this as a racing incident and therefore no further action was taken.
The Veterinary Surgeon reported that WHITE PILLOW (M Leong) returned exhibiting signs
of respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being
declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of MR MARVEL (J Low), SYCE CRACKER and
IDEALISTIC MOMENT revealed no obvious abnormality.
Jockey S Salee, the rider of DIVINE POWER and Jockey CK Tan, the rider of GO BABY
GO, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary
examination of DIVINE POWER revealed no obvious abnormality. A post-race veterinary
examination of GO BABY GO revealed that the horse returned lame in the near fore-leg. GO
BABY GO will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
The Stewards will be inquiring into the whip use displayed by Jockey CK Tan on GO BABY
GO on a date to be fixed.
When questioned regarding the performance of JUST BLESSED, Jockey J Shankar stated
that he was instructed to sit in 4th, 5th, 6th position and do his best in the straight. He said that
after getting a good jumped, JUST BLESSED commenced to race keenly and was
difficult to settle in the early stages. He said that thereafter, JUST BLESSED travelled well
until the 800M when his mount commenced to struggle and in the home straight was eased
down over the concluding stages of the race. His explanation was noted. A post-race
veterinary examination of JUST BLESSED revealed that the gelding returned, having cast its
near hind plate. JUST BLESSED, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test
(1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
