UNDOUBTEDLY CLEVER, a non-acceptor as it had sustained a sole-bruised near fore,
will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Acting on veterinary advice that MAGICAL TEN was lame near fore, the Stewards
ordered its withdrawal at 3.43pm. MAGICAL TEN will be required to pass a test
(1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
At the start, SEA BUTTERFLY (Y Aify) was crowded between PRINCE ISLANDER (J
Shankar) which jumped inwards and GOOD RECOMMEND (M Djulkifli) which jumped
outwards. Thereafter, GOOD RECOMMEND was slow into stride.
HERE COMES THUNDER (App KK Chin) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride.
Near the 200M, ELECTRONIC FORTUNE (App KC Tham) shifted outwards under
pressure. obliging PRINCE ISLANDER to steady and shift inwards to obtain clear

respectively, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary
examinations revealed that both these geldings returned lame off fore and as such, will
each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
When questioned regarding the improved performance of ELECTRONIC FORTUNE,
Trainer D Miller stated that he has given the same instructions in the geldings recent
races in that to lead, however at the last start, ELECTRONIC FORTUNE was unable to
lead on this occasion due to the fast tempo of the race, compared to this event where
ELECTRONIC FORTUNE was able to lead comfortably in a slowly run race. His
explanation was noted.
App KK Chin, the rider of HERE COMES THUNDER was questioned regarding his ride
in the presence of his master Trainer KF Wong and was warned regarding the practice of
covering unnecessary ground.
