RACE 5 (R347) Class 5 1400m KINGS HOPE HANDICAP
KEY LARGOLD, a non-acceptor which suffered a sore back, will be required to pass a
veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
DULTIMATE KEEPER and ANAK KAMPUNG, which were up 18 kgs and down 23
kgs in body weight respectively since their last runs, were checked by the Club
Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
On jumping, BERCHAM (I Azhar) and GHOST VALLEY (App S Shafrizal) bumped.
Also on jumping, IDEALISTIC MOMENT (HK Cheng) and SAPPHIRE STAR (S Sani)
GLORY BETTING (App KC Tham) and EAST GATE (J Low) jumped awkwardly.
COCONUT (J Shankar) was slowly away and thereafter showed no early pace.
Near the 800M, SAPPHIRE STAR steadied off the heels of ANAK KAMPUNG (App M
Razali) which steadied inwards away from the heels of PROPITIONS GOLD (K Eirwan)
which shifted inwards. Jockey K Eirwan was shown the video and warned to exercise
more care when shifting ground in future.
Near the 200M, GHOST VALLEY shifted outwards and checked off the heels of
DULTIMATE KEEPER (M Zairi) which shifted inwards away from ACTUARIAL
TALENT (App M Ganeesh) which shifted inwards slightly. The Stewards deemed this
as a racing incident and no further action was taken..
The Veterinary Surgeon reported FLYING HORSE (App R Jasmin) returned exhibiting
signs of respiratory distress and as such will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before
being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of DULTIMATE KEEPER and ANAK KAMPUNG
revealed no obvious abnormality.
Jockey J Shankar, the rider of COCONUT, reported that his mount was not striding
