RACE 1 [TF482]
CLASS 5 POLYTRACK 1100M
DIVISION 1

DESTINY GENERAL (M Ewe) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped HEY
WOLF (BN Shahrul).

ALWAYS A WINNER (D Chee) began awkwardly.

Near the 1000m, TEOCHEW BARRISTER (O Chavez) eased when crowded
between PRUSSIAN JACK (App Z Zuriman) and HEY WOLF, which shifted
inwards.

DESTINY GENERAL and TEOCHEW BARRISTER both raced wide without cover
throughout.

Passing the 800m, HEY WOLF shifted inwards and made contact with the
hindquarters of FUKUS PET (I Santana).

Near the 700m, HIS MY IDOL (YF Leong), which had obtained a narrow run
to the inside of LUCKY EIGHTY EIGHT (App T Rehaizat), was checked when
LUCKY EIGHTY EIGHT was taken inwards slightly by HOOPER (App J See).

Approaching the 300m, MORRIS (D Beasley) shifted inwards abruptly and as
a result, had to be steadied away from the heels of HEY WOLF.

Over the concluding stages, LUCKY EIGHTY EIGHT shifted inwards under
pressure.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that HEY WOLF bled. As this being the
geldings third bleeding attack, it shall be permanently banned for racing in
terms of MRA Rule 92(7).

Jockey Leong reported that HIS MY IDOL was not striding out freely. A
subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

App J See, when questioned regarding the performance of HOOPER, stated
that the gelding never travelled comfortably in the early stages, however,
responded to his riding when placed under pressure near the 800m for a
short distance. He added that the gelding never travelled comfortably again
from the 600m and in his opinion, proved disappointing. A subsequent
veterinary examination was requested on HOOPER which revealed that the
horse returned as a roarer. The Veterinary Surgeon also advised that
HOOPER had previously undergone corrective surgery for this condition.
