RACE 2 (R1668) Class 5 1200M
TANGLIN HEIGHTS HANDICAP

SPEEDY BOLT (HS Gill) was checked by the Veterinary Surgeon behind the barrier and
passed fit to race.

CHINESE STREET (J Shankar) was slowly away.

SPEEDY BOLT was slow into stride.

Near the 800M, ACE AMIGO (App Rosmizan) and DARWIN (Lou Ho) steadied when
crowded for room by GHOST HEARTED (App Z Khairil) which was taken inwards by
FLYING HORSE (App R Jasmin) which shifted in slightly. App R Jasmin, in the
presence of his Acting Master, Trainer B Ng, was shown the video and warned to
exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

Jockey J Shankar, the rider of CHINESE STREET, reported that his mount was not
striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of CHINESE STREET revealed
no obvious abnormality.

Post-race veterinary examinations of GHOST HEARTED and SPEEDY BOLT revealed
no obvious abnormality.

When questioned regarding his ride on GOLDHILL WINNER, Jockey R Woodworth
stated that he was instructed to get a good jump, sit in 5th or 6th position. He said that
after jumping well, he commenced to urge his mount along in the early stages to sit in
5th/6th position as instructed. He said that due to the fast tempo of the race, his mount was
unable to keep up with the field in the early stages despite his efforts, as such he decided
to sit off the pace and not to use his mount up too much and cover unnecessary ground.
He said that from the 800M, he commenced to improve his position and near the 600M,
he was taken wider on the track by DARWIN (Lou Ho), resulting in his mount racing
wide on the home turn. He further said that he commenced to use the whip on
GOLDHILL WINNER in the home straight but the gelding did not respond as expected.
His explanation was noted. A post-race veterinary examination of GOLDHILL WINNER
revealed no obvious abnormality.
