failing to seek the Stewards permission for Jockey Lou Ho to ride overweight on
Acting on a report from the Veterinary Surgeon that STORMING JOE (RJ Perez)
after being loaded in its barrier, became fractious and was kicking the back gate
badly, it was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 2.50pm. STORMING JOE will
be required to pass a test (1 starting stall) before being declared to race again. A post-
race veterinary examination of STORMING JOE revealed no obvious abnormality.
SEPTEMBER GOLD (App I Amirul) was slowly away.
Jockey Lou Ho reported that HAPPY FLYING over-raced and was making
respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination of HAPPY FLYING revealed
that the filly had returned broken-winded and will be required to undergo a corrective
surgery and thereafter, pass a test (1200M/vet) before being declared to race again.
The saddle on SMALL TIGER (App KK Chin) slipped backwards.
Near the 1200M, EL COMANDANTE (App KK Khoo) steadied when crowded for
room between TRIPLE ONE DBEST (W Davila) and SLAMIN TYNE (Y Aify)
which shifted inwards. Jockey Y Aify, the rider of SLAMIN TYNE was shown the
video of the incident and was warned to exercise more care when shifting ground in

SLAMIN TYNE, LEE SPUR and SEPTEMBER GOLD which raced poorly, will be
required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
When questioned regarding the performance of SPEED POWER, Jockey D Bonilla
stated that he was instructed to get a good jump, sit 3rd/4th/5th position, make his move
early. He said that SPEED POWER did not get a good jump and was slowly away
and he commenced to ride SPEED POWER along and gave him a couple of strikes
with his whip to get the horse to race forward, but the horse was reluctant to do so,
therefore, he took the horse wider on the track for clear running rounding the 1200m
turn in an endeavour to go forward, however SPEED POWER failed to respond to his
efforts and raced in a rearward position for the remainder of the race and was
disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination of SPEED POWER revealed no
obvious abnormality. SPEED POWER which raced poorly, will be required to pass a
test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
