RACE 1 [TF1554]
CLASS 5 POLYTRACK 1100M
Acting on veterinary advice that SUPER CAPTAIN (O Chavez) was found to be
lame near-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1220Hrs. In
terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary
Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.
SAMURAI KID (S John), which stood flat-footed and lost considerable ground,
will be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race
again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).
GIVE WAY (App P Dellorto) dipped on jumping.
HELLOLO (L Allpress), which raced keenly, proved difficult to settle in the
BINGO (M Nunes) and GIVE WAY, which were both racing wide, were carried
wider from the 600m when ANCHIETA (I Saifudin) laid outwards.
Approaching the 200m, ANCHIETA checked when racing to the inside of
BINGO. At a subsequent Inquiry, Jockey Nunes pleaded guilty to a charge of
careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that near the 200m, he
allowed his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear, resulting in
ANCHIETA having to check. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took
into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference, carelessness
and submissions from Jockey Nunes that he has been engaged to ride at the
Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 29 November 2013 and Sunday, 01
December 2013. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in
races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the
suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 02 December 2013 until
Sunday, 08 December 2013 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days).
He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
Near the 200m, HELLOLO eased off the heels of ZAC COMMAND (App LQ
Kek), which shifted outwards to obtain clear running. App Kek was
subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater
care when shifting ground in future.
App T See, the rider of RAPID REWARDS, was reminded of his obligations to
ride all his mounts out fully to the Finish.
