RACE 11 [TF1440]
CLASS 4 SC (C) 1600M

RADIANT ROI (S Sam) was inconvenienced on jumping when crowded
between RAZIYYA OF SYDNEY (S Baster) and MONGOLIAN STAR (I Andy),
which jumped awkwardly outwards.

Shortly after the start, RADIANT ROI steadied off the heels of RAZIYYA OF
SYDNEY, which was carried inwards slightly by MAX VELOCITY (J
Verenzuela).

Passing the 800m, MAX VELOCITY had to be steadied outwards away from
the heels of TOUCH THE LINE (B Vorster), which shifted outwards.

Making the turn into the straight, DO IT RIGHT (Alan Ng) checked when
racing to the inside of MONGOLIAN STAR. AFTERNOON DELIGHT (App WX
Wong), which was following had to be steadied outwards. An Inquiry into
this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Near the 400m, DRAGON (D Beasley), which was unable to obtain a clear
run, became awkwardly placed on the heels of GREEN JACKET (A Munro).
Thereafter, DRAGON had difficulty obtaining a clear run until near the 200m.

The Farrier reported that DO IT RIGHT returned having cast its off-hind plate.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on MARATHON LAD
(App T Rehaizat) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

GENERAL

PRE-RACE BLOOD TESTING & IMPOUND SAMPLES: FRIDAY
SINGAPORE 20 JULY MEETING 2012

RACE 9 [TF967] : SAVILHRO

108 coded pre-race blood samples from the above-mentioned race meeting
were received for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations.

All samples were analysed and none failed except for Sample Coded No
207630 which revealed the presence of Omeprazole and Metabolite and
which was reported to have been taken from the horse, SAVILHRO, trained
by Trainer M Walker, which was withdrawn from Race 9 after failing its Pre-
Race Screening Test on the above date.

On Friday, 20 July 2012, Trainer Walker was advised of the Analysts Report
and his attention was drawn to the contents of MRA Rule 137 (1) relating to
the Referee Sample.

3 coded urine and 3 coded blood impound samples from the above-
mentioned race meeting were received for analysis under the MRA Rules and
Regulations.

All samples were analysed and none failed except for Sample Coded No
0042451 which revealed the presence of Omeprazole and Hydroxy-
Omeprazole and which was reported to have been taken from the horse,
SAVILHRO, trained by Trainer M Walker, which was withdrawn from Race 9
after failing its Pre-Race Screening Test on the above date.

On Friday, 03 August 2012, Trainer Walker was advised of the Analysts
Report and his attention was drawn to the contents of MRA Rule 137 (1)
relating to the Referee Sample. In terms of the Rules, SAVILHRO could not
race again until cleared by the Stewards.

On Thursday, 02 August 2012, the Stewards acceded to Trainer M Walker's
request to clear SAVILHRO for racing subject to the submission of a
subsequent urine sample being free of any prohibited substance. The SNTC
Laboratory subsequently reported that a sample submitted to clear
SAVILHRO for racing was analysed and clear of any prohibited substances.
As such, SAVILHRO was cleared for racing.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Tuesday, 23 October 2012, Trainer Walker
pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule of Racing 134(6)(a) in that he, as
the Trainer of SAVILHRO, accepted to run that horse in Race 9 at the
Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 20 July 2012 and subsequently,
SAVILHRO failed its Pre-Race Screening Test when it was found to contain
Omperazole and Metabolites, a prohibited substance as defined under the
MRA Rules of Racing. Trainer Walker was fined a sum of S$5,000 and
advised of his Right of Appeal.

inside of CHEETAH (D Beasley) and ROCKET RIDER (A Munro) passing the
500m. It was established that passing the 500m, MASCOT PRINCE checked
whilst racing to the inside of CHEETAH, which shifted inwards after initially
being taken inwards slightly by ROCKET RIDER. In the circumstances, no
blame could be attributed to any rider and as such, no further action was
taken. However, Jockey Beasley was warned and advised that he must make

SINGAPORE OCTOBER MEETING 2012
FRIDAY, 12 OCTOBER 2012:

RACE 9 [TF1380]

On Tuesday, 23 October 2012, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the
reasons for SUPER LUCKY (I Saifudin) having to check and lose ground whilst
racing to the inside of BUNGAE (D Beasley) and CARNIVAL STAR (App T See)
near the 700m. It was established that near the 700m, SUPER LUCKY
checked whilst racing tight to the inside of BUNGAE and CARNIVAL STAR,
which shifted inwards marginally. In considering all the evidence, the
Stewards took into account that the shift inwards from CARNIVAL STAR was
only marginal and the fact they believed SUPER LUCKY overreacted after
being bumped by BUNGAE. In the circumstances, no blame could be
attributed to any rider and as such, no further action was taken.
