BERSIA GRAZING RESERVE HANDICAP

GOLDEN MIGHT which was up 23kgs in body weight and TEZIZARIB which was
down 28kgs in body weight since their last runs, were checked by the Club Veterinary
Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

Trainer HS Lim was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing
to seek the Stewards permission to allow Jockey HK Cheng to ride 1 1/2 kgs over on
GOLDEN SONIC.

Prior to the race, Trainer P Pereira advised the Stewards that FOREVER ROSE would be
ridden back in the field and to make a move at the 250M.

TEZIZARIB (J De Souza) was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon at the barriers
and was passed fit to race.

Acting on a report from the Starter that TEZIZARIB (J De Souza) was difficult to be
loaded, dislodged its rider and had to be loaded riderless, and in view of its previous
adverse history, TEZIZARIB will be required to pass 2 tests (2 starting stalls at weekly
intervals) before being entered to race

NINETYFIVE ROCKET (App WT Chung) jumped awkwardly and was slowly away.

BIG GALLANT (SH Lee) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped TWELFTH
AVENUE (Y Aify).

FABERGE (C Goon) was slow into stride.

TEZIZARIB was slow into stride and showed no early pace despite being urged along.

Near the 1000M, TEZIZARIB steadied off the heels of CHINESE STREET which
shifted inwards. Jockey J Shankar, the rider of CHINESE STREET, was shown the video
of the incident and warned to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

From the 250M, DONTCALLME UNCLE (App SC Liew) drifted inwards whilst being
ridden along with the whip. App SC Liew, in the presence of his Acting Master, Trainer
W Lim, was shown the film of the incident and warned to stop and straighten his mount a
lot sooner than what he did today.

Near the 100M, NINETYFIVE ROCKET steadied outwards across the heels of
GOLDEN MIGHT (App BN Kumar) and in doing so, took FABERGE wider on the
track.

GOLDEN SONIC (HK Cheng) drifted outwards under pressure over the concluding
stages of the race.

Just prior to the winning post, App SC Liew, the rider of DONTCALLME UNCLE, was
accidentally struck by the whip of App A Nawawi, the rider of FOREVER ROSE.

KIM BAY (App KY Yap) and FABERGE both raced wide throughout the race.

The All Clear was delayed as App SC Liew (DONTCALLME UNCLE) requested to
view the video footage to determine whether he had grounds to lodge an objection. After
viewing the video replays, App SC Liew, in the presence of his Master, Trainer T Yeoh,
decided not to lodge an objection. The All Clear was given.

GOLDEN SONIC which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before
being entered to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of KIM BAY revealed no obvious abnormality.

A post-race veterinary examination of TEZIZARIB revealed no obvious abnormality.
The gelding which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being
entered to race again.

When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of FOREVER ROSE,
Trainer P Pereira stated that FOREVER ROSE was having its first start from a 4-month
spell and with the benefit of 2 recent Barrier Trials and being ridden back in the field, had
contributed to the improved performance of the mare. He further stated that last
campaign, FOREVER ROSE did not handle the soft and heavy going respectively at
its first 2 career starts and had appreciated the good track today. His explanation was
noted, and his attention was drawn to the Rules regarding in and out running.
