RACE 9 [TF1270]
CLASS 4 1200M
DIVISION 2

ACE ARMANDO (App TH Koh) was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start, TENUPONTEN (I Saifudin) and JOYFUL MELODY (J
Saimee) bumped.

After the start, TRAVERTINE (A Munro) was hampered by RIO FORTUNE (App
R Shafiq), which shifted inwards away from TEEN ANGEL (S Baster).

Approaching the 1100m, TRAVERTINE steadied when RIO FORTUNE rolled
inwards.

BINGO (G Cheyne) proved difficult to settle in the backstraight.

Passing the 900m, LONESOME ME (S Sam) and INTER REWARD (B Vorster)
were hampered when BINGO shifted outwards whilst overracing.

Approaching the 300m, RIO FORTUNE became unbalanced after laying
inwards and brushing the running rail.

After the 200m, JOYFUL MELODY checked when racing between BINGO and
ACE ARMANDO to its outside and CHINESE CULTURE (J Powell) to its inside.
An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

App Shafiq, the rider of RIO FORTUNE, reported that his horse was not
striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no
apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on KALLISAN (J
Moreira) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

GENERAL

SINGAPORE JULY MEETING 2012
FRIDAY, 06 JULY 2012:

RACE 3 [TF911]

The Inquiry into the run of BABY FACE in the third race at the Singapore Turf
Club Meeting on Friday, 06 July 2012 was concluded on Wednesday,
19 September 2012. After taking evidence from Jockey S Anandan and
Trainer HW Tan, the Trainer of BABY FACE, Jockey Anandan was found guilty
to a charge under MRA Rule 44(8) for failing to take all reasonable and
permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing. The particulars of
the charge are:

.1 in that from near the 700m to approaching the 500m, he failed
to maintain or improve his position when racing behind BLACK
JACK (J Powell) when it was reasonable and permissible to do
so, thereby near the 500m, allowing RAVOUX (A Munro), which
was racing to his inside, to improve off the fence and place him
a position further back than necessary;

.2 in that from the 500m to the 100m, he failed to ride with
sufficient vigour and determination.

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account the nature of the
charge and his record. Jockey Anandan was disqualified for a period of two
years with immediate effect from Wednesday, 19 September 2012 to
Thursday, 18 September 2014 both dates inclusive and in addition, he was
fined a sum of S$50,000. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

On Wednesday, 19 September 2012, Jockey Anandan exercised his Right of
Appeal against the decision of the Stipendiary Stewards and the penalty
imposed on him. He subsequently applied for a Stay of Sentence.

After hearing and considering submissions from Jockey Anandan on
Wednesday, 19 September 2012, his application for a Stay of Sentence was
denied by the Stipendiary Stewards.

The Appeal will be heard at a date to be fixed.

SINGAPORE AUGUST MEETING 2012
FRIDAY, 17 AUGUST 2012:

RACE 4 [TF1104]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Wednesday, 19 September 2012, Jockey I
Saifudin, the rider of OASIS SPUR, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless
riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding OASIS SPUR in Race 4
at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 17 August 2012, over the
concluding stages, he allowed his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently
clear, whilst riding it along, thereby shifting into the rightful running of
TOMORROW DREAMS (J Moreira), resulting in that gelding having to be
checked shortly after passing the Winning Post. When deciding on penalty,
the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of
interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Saifudin that he
has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings on Friday,
21 September 2012, Sunday, 23 September 2012 and Friday,
28 September 2012. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride
in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the
suspension was deferred to begin on Saturday, 29 September 2012 until
Sunday, 30 September 2012 both dates inclusive (two Race Days). He was
advised of his Right of Appeal.

SINGAPORE AUGUST MEETING 2012
SUNDAY, 26 AUGUST 2012:

RACE 6 [TF1163]

On Friday, 21 September 2012, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into a
report from the Clerk of Scales that Jockey R Lim, the rider of DAN NOBLE,
returned to scale 1.0kg over the weight that he weighed out for the above
race. Jockey Lim pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 121(7) in that
after riding DAN NOBLE in the sixth race at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting
on Sunday, 26 August 2012, he returned to scale 1.0kg in excess of the
weight that he weighed out for the race. There was no evidence to suggest
that Jockey Lim had or attempted to deceive the Clerk of Scales when
weighing. However, Jockey Lim had admitted consuming fluids after he
weighed out for the race and he believed that this may have contributed to
him returning overweight. When considering penalty, the Stewards took into
account the nature of the charge, his record and guilty plea. Jockey Lim was
suspended from riding in races with effect from Monday, 24 September 2012
to Sunday, 30 September 2012 both dates inclusive (three Race Days) and
was advised of his Right of Appeal.

ICHIBAN, resulting in PRIZE FIGHTER and FUKU ICHIBAN to check. In the

to take a position behind CHILLI. Shortly after, CHILLI shifted inwards,
