Emergency Acceptors, DANANG BEAUTY, KIM STAR and BUENA VISTA were
withdrawn due to a capacity field.
CHASE THE DREAM (MW Teh) and DIPANG RIVER (LL Tai) bumped on
BUKIT TINGGI (M Gallagher) jumped away awkwardly.
OCEAN FANTASY (HS Gill) shifted in on jumping away and bumped SMART
ASSASSIN (M Wepner) which bumped ASTRONAUT MAN (TM Wan), which
bumped TWELFTH AVENUE (M Zaidi), which bumped WONDERFUL OCEAN
(SH Lee), as a result ASTRONAUT MAN lost its position.
Racing to the 800M, TAGMAMARAKAY (J Saimee) had to steadied off the heels
of GALACTIC NEBULA (SC Liew).
OPPROTUNE TIME (J Low) took the home turn wide.
Jockey J Low reported that OPPORTUNE TIME was slow into stride.
Jockey SH Lee, the rider of WONDERFUL OCEAN, reported that his horse was
not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examination of WONDERFUL
OCEAN revealed no obvious abnormality and the gelding was impounded.

RACE 13 (R479) OF SELANGOR RACES ON SATURDAY, 31ST MARCH,
2012, CURRENT MEETING
Acting on the advice of Club Veterinary Surgeon, KIM BAYs embargo was
reduced from two (2) weeks to one (1) week.
RACE 9 (R488) OF SELANGOR RACES ON SUNDAY, 1ST APRIL 2012,
Trainer A Selvaratnam was fined RM250/- under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for
negligence in presenting SALAAM DUBAI without winkers which was declared.
RACE 4 (R474) OF SELANGOR RACES ON SATURDAY, 31ST MARCH 2012,
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that QIYAS (R Shafiq) bled. In terms of
MRA Rule 92(5) QIYAS will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main
training track of any racecourse for a period of five months, and may not start in
any race for a period of six (6) month and will required to pass a Bleeders Test
before being entered to race again.
RACE 7 (R486) OF SELANGOR RACES ON SUNDAY, 1ST APRIL 2012,
When questioned, Jockey J Low, rider of COUNT ZERPOUR, explained that
from the wide barrier his instruction was come close to the rail and get a good
position. Jockey J Low stated that COUNT ZERPOUR settled well and raced
well until put under pressure in the straight when the gelding race one paced
to the finish.
RACE 7 (R447) SO NICE HANDICAP, Class 5 1400M, 2ND DAY, SUNDAY,
25TH MARCH 2012, PENANG TURF CLUB MARCH MEETING 2012
The Stewards, on 27th March 2012, questioned Trainer R Lines regarding the
performance of STAR PROSPERITY. Trainer R Lines confirmed that Jockey O
CHAVEZ advised him after the race that STAR PROSPERITY would be better
ridden back in the field as opposed to racing forward and that STAR
PROSPERITY would be more suited over a longer distance. Trainer R Lines
explained that STAR PROSPERITY had been working well recently and with a
good barrier, he expected STAR PROSPERITY to run a good race, however he
believed STAR PROSPERITY was disappointing. Trainer R Lines informed the
Stewards that he will freshen up STAR PROSPERITY and look for a 1600M as
the gelding has always shown that he would get over a bit of ground. He said that
STAR PROSPERITY would be more suited over the 1600M and would be able to
travel within himself and find its feet early. Trainer R Lines was told that his
explanation would be noted.

PENANG TURF CLUB MARCH MEETING 2012
The report dated 5th April 2012 (V12/23.1) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary
Forensic Laboratory stated that 54 coded urine and 60 sets of coded blood
samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 26th March
2012, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited
substances were detected.
