CAPTAIN PENANG which was up 21kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked
by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
The start was delayed as the bit on BLACK GENIUS was wrongly fitted and had to be
readjusted at the start. Trainer C Robert was warned to ensure that all the gears on his
horses are correctly fitted in future.
HERE COMES THUNDER which stood and lost considerable ground, will be required
to pass a test (starting stall) before being entered to race again.
Shortly after the start, BRING IT ON checked off the heels of BUKIT NAGA which
BELWINS raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
Near the 800M, BRING IT ON checked off the heels of MY DIAMOND (I Saifudin)
which shifted inwards. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.
Jockey TM Wan, the rider of BUKIT NAGA, was fined RM500/- for negligence under
MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he dropped his whip at approximately the 300M mark.
Jockey M Yusri, the rider of BELWINS, reported that his horse was not striding out
freely. A post-race veterinary examination of BELWINS revealed no obvious

When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of BLACK GENIUS,
Trainer C Robert stated that BLACK GENIUS was shifting ground on a rain affected
track in its last start on 1st October 2011 in Penang over the 1400M, and felt that BLACK
GENIUS was more suited today on the soft track over the 1200M. Trainer C Robert
was informed that his explanation was noted and his attention was drawn to the Rules
regarding in and out running.
Acting under MRA Regulation 16.7, the following horses which have not raced for more
than 1 year, will each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race

SINAR HARAPAN (U105) which bled during the above barrier trial, will be barred from
racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b).

The report dated 6th October 2011 (V11/67.1) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary
Forensic Laboratory stated that 23 coded urine and 23 sets of coded blood samples from
the above mentioned race meeting were received on 26th September 2011, for analysis
under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.

The report dated 6th October 2011 (V11/70) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary
Forensic Laboratory stated that 4 coded urine samples from the above mentioned race
meeting were received on 3rd October 2011, for analysis under the MRA Rules and
Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
