As part of the Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival 2013 celebrations, the KAKSCCC organised the Lantern Painting Competition. Singapore Turf Club (STC) is proud to partner KAKSCCC and Life Art Society for the third year running to be a part of this traditional cultural event. Held at Chinatown Point, the competition saw more than 400 participants exercise their creative flair and artistic talent by painting the lanterns. The painted lanterns were displayed at Pagoda Street as part of the Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival 2013 Street Light-Up from 1 to 19 September 2013. In addition, STC also supported KAKSCC by offering the usage of The Majestic, one of STC's Off-Course Betting Centres, for the festival's media conference.
Held at the Tanah Merah Country Club, Garden Course,
the event sought to raise funds for various activities and programmes in
Ang Mo Kio GRC and Sengkang West SMC such as helping needy students in
PCF kindergartens, and supporting youth and senior citizens’ activities.
A total of $800,000 was raised.
Held at the RDA Centre located along Jalan Mashhor, the event saw
500 guests arriving in stunning Rock costumes. More than $236,000 was raised
which will go towards aiding the Association with its operating costs and
allowing their riders to continue from their therapeutic riding with RDA.
